We Highly Recommend Jeffrey

To Whom it may Concern:

Our son, Thomas, was having a considerable amount of trouble with his 5th grade academic progress. Thomas’ poor academic performance was not due to lack of ability or intelligence, but poor self-esteem and anxieties relating to his low grades and abilities to do well in school. In the 4th grade, our son was told by his teacher that he was “un-teachable”. This comment coupled with the fact that he is a very sensitive young boy crushed his sense of self-worth and he began to think of himself as “un-teachable”. As parents we decided we needed help for Thomas, so he could re-gain his confidence as a student and once again desire to learn. Jeffery was willing, ready and waiting to start working with not only our son but us as well.

Thomas' main areas of concern were; non-completion of homework, faking of answers on homework and tests, and not asking for help. During the six-month period that Jeffery worked with our son, he was able to help Thomas grow and start to enjoy learning again. By utilizing visualization and movement techniques, Jeffery was able to help our son enjoy math, which in- turn improved his grades. Other techniques, such as calligraphy and origami, helped our son with his handwriting and spatial relations. This allowed Thomas to explore his creative side and apply it to his academics, which enabled him to once again take pride in his work.

Jeffery’s efforts, coupled with counseling and summer school, allowed our son to re-build his self-esteem and start excelling with his academics. Without Jeffery’s help I have no doubt that our son would have had to repeat the 5th grade. I highly recommend Jeffery as a resource for your child’s academic growth. He is patient and creative, with a good-natured and knowledgeable approach towards academia. Through knowing him and working with him, I have seen his dedication to the success of the student.

Warm Regards,
    Kathleen & Ernie Marquez
